The slab under your feet, ground with progressively finer diamond tooling until it takes a sheen, then sealed. No covering laid on top means there is nothing to lift, peel or wear through.
Turning the slab you have into the finished floor
Polishing does not add a layer to your floor, it refines the one that is already there. Mimcon grinds the existing concrete with diamond tooling that gets progressively finer, and on most floors the aggregate inside the slab starts to show as the grind goes deeper, which is where the stone-like look comes from. A sealer goes on last to lock in the sheen. Because the floor stays structural concrete rather than gaining a wear layer, what needs attention years later is the sealer and the shine, not the floor itself.
Occupied homes and active job sites, not just empty rooms
Most residential polishing happens in houses people are still living in. The work gets staged room by room and the grinders run on vacuum extraction, so it is a cleaner process than most homeowners expect going in. Commercial and construction-site work runs the other way: Mimcon comes in on active builds, working to whatever schedule the general contractor is already keeping.

A grind that goes as deep as the floor calls for
Two finishes, one slab, different depth of grind.
A shallow grind leaves a satin sheen with little of the stone visible. Cut deeper and the aggregate inside the concrete opens up, giving a warmer, exposed-aggregate finish with real texture to it. Both are the same slab and the same process, just carried a different distance.
